After School Club Play Worker

HOURS:   3.00 PM to 5.45 PM  2 or 3 days a week starting as soon as possible - term-time only

FTE £27341 - £14.50 per hour

To allow us to increase our provision we are looking to appoint a play worker for our after-School Club.  

The hours are part time between 3.00 pm and 5.45 pm to work 2 or 3 days a week during term time only. 

Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to the day-to-day running of the after-school club to ensure a high level of service whilst adhering to policies and procedures.
  • To deliver a variety of stimulating play activities and experiences appropriate to the children’s aged 7 to 11
  • To prepare a daily light snack for each child taking into account food hygiene procedures and strictly adhering to children’s dietary requirements (including food allergies)
  • To ensure that the areas used by the afterschool club provision are left in a clean and tidy state after each session.
  • To attend training as agreed with the After School Club Manager to support your development.
  • To ensure all children are signed in by staff and signed out by the parent/carer or named adult previously provided.
  • To provide first aid and adhere to children’s individual care plans as required.
  • To ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of all the children and staff and immediately report any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead as necessary.
