Online Safety

The Internet and online technology provide new opportunities for learning and growth but in a world of ever-changing technology it becomes more important than ever for us to encourage safe and appropriate use.

At Tillingbourne, we encourage the use of technology as an important part of our pupil’s development and online safety is taught to the children throughout the school as part of the National Curriculum for computing and within the PSHE curriculum.

In school, the children follow a clear set of rules for Internet use which keeps themselves and others safe online:

As a parent/carer, you will know how important the Internet is to children – they use it to learn, play, socialise and express themselves. It is important that you speak to your children about how they can stay safe and behave appropriately online. We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work together.
